 Our Story

Hi and Welcome to our website! I'm Sheila, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Owner of No More Brokenness. No More Brokenness came to be when I became frustrated that there were no appropriate services for individuals in the Nebraska  area for Veterans through Telehealth. My passion has always been traumatic stress and chemical dependency, because I feel they go hand in hand. As I have worked with clients, I often hear “I feel just broken.” The first thing clients and I work toward are putting these pieces back together so they are able to have decreased symptoms and live their lives.

Our Expert

Hi! I am Sheila, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who holds licenses in Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and South Dakota. I also hold a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor license in Minnesota. I completed my Masters in Social Work through the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2015, with a concentration in Children and Families, and a sub-concentration in Military Services. I then completed my second Masters of Addiction Counseling and Prevention through the University of South Dakota in 2018. As a Trauma Therapist using EMDR, I can assist individuals in understanding their triggers and decreasing the reactions to them. I am passionate about my work with individuals that have traumatic experiences and chemical dependency.

My clinical experience includes working with children and families, couples, individuals and adolescents. I have a strong focus when working with individuals with abuse, neglect, chemical dependency, and grief, as well as individuals with Schizophrenia, Bipolar, and/or personality disorders. I have been doing telehealth work full time since May of 2021 and really do enjoy meeting my clients where they are at and not being tied to just seeing individuals in my community. With telehealth work, I am only able to see individuals 12 and up at this time.

I follow the thought process that the client and family see what the main concerns are, and I am walking with them in the journey to understand their symptoms, triggers, and to gain skills to decrease symptoms. I use a mix of Psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT modalities, and being trauma focused for each of my clients.

I currently live in Rural Minnesota with my Husband, son, and two Brittney dogs. You will probably see the dogs going in and out of my office during the session! In addition to my private practice, I also keep honeybees. We enjoy spending time with family and in the summer, we like to go camping and riding in the side by side.  In the Winter, we enjoy watching movies, reading books, and playing board games.
